Sino-Israel Joint Symposium on Life Sciences was held in Beijing on September 5-6, 2016. It was co-organized by the Beijing Institutes of Life Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (BIOLS, CAS), The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel (HUJI) and Tel Aviv University (TAU).
BIOLS President Dr. Le Kang hosted the symposium and delivered the opening remarks. Thirty-one scientists from China and Israel gave presentations on their research progresses, and nearly 150 researchers from institutes of CAS and universities attended the symposium. The topics of the symposium included organism biology, translational medicine, plant development and stress biology, etc. All attendants were confident that the inspiring ideas and discussions would lead to fruitful collaboration between the scientists from two countries.
