Young Bioinformatics PI Workshop was held in Beijing on August 13, 2016. It was co-organized by the Beijing Institutes of Life Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (BIOLS, CAS) and Beijing Institute of Genomics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (BIG, CAS).  More than 300 researchers from institutes of CAS, universities and enterprises attended the symposium. 

The workshop focuses on latest research achievements in bioinformatics. Thirteen scientists from different institutes gave presentations on their recent research advances, which aim to share computational, mathematical, and theoretical methods on related research, including precision medicine, molecular biology, genetics, etc. It was an important opportunity to promote potential cooperation for all the attendees.
