The symposium on neuroscience was held in Beijing on September 24, 2014. It was jointly organized by the Beijing Institutes of Life Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (BIOLS, CAS), the Peking University, the Tsinghua University and the National Institute of Biological Sciences, Beijing (NIBS, Beijing). More than 200 researchers from institutes of CAS and universities attended the symposium. 

The topics of the symposium included neurological diseases, neurocognitive functions and neurodevelopmental disorders, etc. Fifteenth scientists from the field of neuroscience introduced their latest research progress. They also inspired and encouraged the seated researchers and students to continually raise questions, actively think and widely communicate on report. All of these discussions were significant to continuously push forward the basic interdisciplinary development on neuroscience in China.
