The symposium on Computation in Physiology and Psychology was held in Beijing on September 11, 2013. It was jointly organized by the Beijing Institutes of Life Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (BIOLS, CAS) and Institute of Psychology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IP, CAS).  

BIOLS president Dr. Le Kang gave welcome address on the opening ceremony, emphasizing the importance of the integration of multiple disciplines to solve complex biological questions. Six speakers from universities and institutes of CAS gave presentations on the latest breakthroughs. The speakers and audiences discussed the potential future directions in this cross-disciplinary area.
