The 9th symposium of Beijing Forum of Life Science, Symposium on Translational Cancer Research, was held in Beijing on September 7-8, 2010.

This symposium was co-organized by Beijing Institutes of Life Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences (BIOLS, CAS) and Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS). More than 130 researchers from CAS, CAMS and other institutions attended the symposium.

Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) academician CHEN Shujun was the chair of the symposium. 25 scientists from CAS and CAMS gave presentations on a range of topics including tumor immunology,biological cancer therapy, translational medicine technology, etc. All the attendees had a lively discussion after the presentation session, and all believed that it isvital to promote translational cancer research, and hopedmedical researchers and life science researchers could work closely to establish platform forcancer treatment.
