China-U.S. Research Center for Life Sciences was jointly launched by Dr. LI Jiayang, vice president of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Dr. Harold M. MAURER, chancellor of University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) on August 8, 2008.

The research center will be managed by Beijing Institutes of Life Science (BIOLS), CAS. It will devote to strengthen academic exchanges and promote bilateral cooperative partnership in life sciences between CAS and the U.S. universities.
